Westek's W111-P Good Shoe/Bad Shoe Test Cord provides temporary
emergency restoration to a bad cable pair in a matter of seconds, while
still providing protection to the line. Westek's W111-P is compatible
with AT&T, Reliable and Cook main frame blocks. This 8ft. cord features
a built-in protector block which incorporates any standard AT&T,
Reliable, or Cook-type five-pin protection module. When a protector
module is inserted into the W111-P protector block, standard protection
is restored to the pair. Without protection, a power surge or lightning
strike could damage expensive Central Office equipment in a matter of
seconds. The W111-P cord comes in lengths of 8', 10', 16' & 25' with a
463A plug-in connector on each end. The word "GOOD" is marked on one
plug-in and the word "BAD" is marked on the opposite plug-in. The
outside craftsperson making the temporary repair leaves the area marked,
identifying which pair is good and which pair is bad. |

temporary emergency restoration of a bad cable pair. The W111-P2 is
unique in that it provides the means to restore a bad cable pair in a
matter of seconds, while still providing protection to the line. Another
exclusive feature of the W111-2P is its compatibility with AT&T,
Reliable, Cook and Porta Systems connector blocks. This cord comes in
lengths of 8', 10', 16' & 25' with two individual plug-ins on each end,
one designed to fit AT&T, Reliable, and Cook blocks, the other to fit
Porta Systems blocks. Only one plug-in on each end is used at a time;
the loose plug-in can then be clipped up and out of the way. The word
"GOOD" is marked on one plug-in and the word "BAD" is marked on the
opposite plug-in. The outside craftsperson making the temporary repair
leaves the area marked, identifying which pair is good and which pair is
bad. The fram technician will then know how to make the permanent
