TCSC817- Universal Smart Cable.

TC-SC817 is an intelligent serial interface solution that looks at the RS-232 signals from the computer and the peripheral and uses its own patented logic circuitry to make all the right connections, instantly!

All you do is plug in the cable and set two switches. The TC-SC817 matches up all the data and handshake control lines automatically, with a flick of a switch!

The TC-SC817 uses standard RS-232 DB-25 connectors. The computer connection is available in either Male or Female DB-25 Connectors.

The computer can be any make or model, and the peripheral can be any RS-232 serial device such as a printer, plotter, terminal, modem, bar-code reader, voice digitize, music generator, electronic typewriter, or another computer. In other words, it will connect Virtually any two RS-232 serial devices together!

Take an TC-SC817 along with your portable computer, and you've got the right interface cable with you wherever you go! Any word length or code formats used during transmission are acceptable and any baud rate of up to 19,2000 bits per second can be used. If data transmission is disabled by either the computer or peripheral, a diagnostic light on the TC-SC817 "glows" to indicate the source of the problem.

TC-MC600- Macintosh Smart Cable

TC-MC600 opens up a world of possible hardware and software combinations for your Macintosh!

IQ Technologies has made it possible for you to easily connect one or more non-Apple peripherals to your Macintosh. Although RS-232 is the industry "standard" interface, there are literally thousands of possible RS-232 cable configurations.

TC-SC821 PLUS - Smart Cable Maker

TC-SC821 PLUS is both an intelligent cable and diagnostic instrument in one package that instantly interfaces two RS-232 asynchronous serial devices while simultaneously providing a graphic display of the interface configuration.

The TC-SC821 PLUS provides breakout box capabilities and LED indicators which practically eliminates the time and frustration of debugging an RS-232 interface. All you need to do is set three switches that control the data lines, control lines and correct handshaking protocol.

For special nonstandard applications, there's an additional 7-position dip switch which allows you to provide pull-up voltages to the major control or handshake lines.

Use the TC-SC821 to design your own permanent cable connection between serial devices, or, to troubleshoot serial interconnection problems. When the TC-SC821 PLUS has your connection working properly, you can leave the cable in place, or you can use the cable connection information provided by the TC-SC821 PLUS to build a permanent cable.
